The kids surprise

As a halloween surprise for the kids, Friday evening we took them to the pumpkin patch by Sunset Station. :) The whole surprise aspect of it was going well, until I left my email page on the computer and Jaron noticed an email that said "Friday night" on it and instead of ignoring it (which is what I would've done, because I LOVE surprises, and do everything I can NOT to find out about them) Jaron opened it and read it! What a terd! AND it didn't stop there... he secretly took Emma into a room and told her! She reacted like I would have. She cried and cried cause she wanted to be surprised and Jaron ruined it for her. :) haha. What a day. Well, surprise or no surprise we took our munchkins to the pumpkin patch so they could have an evening of halloween fun. We met up with Josh, Jody, Madelyn, Shannon, Jesse, and their 3 kids. Emma and Lily loved going on rides with Auri and Ani. Jaron pretty much spent the entire time in line for the trampoline bungy jumping thing. I thought he was crazy, but he was set on it, and there he waited. He said it was worth it, and it was tons of fun to watch. Emma wanted to do it to, but wasn't patient enough to stand in line. But she had a blast going on rides. The funniest thing was to watch Ani and Lily in line for the slide, tickets in hand, standing with Auri and Emma, and when they got to the front of the line they'd end up chickening out and turning around and handing the ticket to Clint and walking away.... They did it twice! haha. So funny to watch.

After the pumpkin patch, we came home and had a little halloween party at our house. Bec/Dave/kids, Shelly/Gregg/Mackie, Kolby/Janine, Kayden/Stephanie, Jen/Mike, Shannon/Kids, Jody/Josh/MadiLiz, all came and we had a good time. We visited for a while, and then watched "The Village", which ended up not being very scary, but was cool to watch again (I hadn't seen it in a couple of years), and then watched a movie called "The Orphanage". It was subtitled (the movie was in spanish) but was totally scary (for me), but had a pretty cool ending so I liked it! :). We ate way too much yummy junk food... and then everyone left their junkfood at my house!... for me to finish off! :) (So much for winning biggest loser this month!) I love being with family and was so grateful that everyone came and had a good time. I'm bummed I didn't get any pictures from the party, but I have a feeling that even if I had, there would've been several finger gestures in them... so maybe it's good I didn't. haha.

Sounds like fun!!! I like surprises too!!! I like pulling them on people also. Last year, I helped Randy's sister-in-law throw a surprise 29th party for his brother...why 29? He's snoopy and would have expected a 30th...so we got him a year early!!! The invites had MY address and phone # so no one would tell Steven. He's the biggest snoop (typical cop, you know how that is) but he didn't have a clue!!! I'm still proud!!!

It sounds like everyone had such a good time. But I am right there with Jaron. I don't like surprises too much. I like the anticipation so much more. But I'm a weirdo like that. lol

That pumpkin patch looked fun. They didn't do that when we lived there. Oh well. We will be going to one here on Friday. The party sounded fun too. Talk about a full house, right? I thought that "Village" was the only movie that Shelly did NOT want to see. Did she stay? I like that movie too. A really scary movie that we watched last year was an old one called "The Changeling". It was a good story and very scary. Since it is old, it doesn't have all the Hollywoood junk. You should check it out. I think the guy that plays scrooge is in it-George Scott.

Don't you just love Halloween? So many fun things to do! We didn't brave the pumpkin patch this year, but maybe we'll have to make it a priority next year. Love your blog!
