This weekend was great. I love weekends when i get to see and hang out with friends and family! They are the best. Friday night Josh and Jody came over to have dinner with us. We had enchiladas and visited. AND watched Carson learning to walk. It was so cool! I was so surprised and excited that we had to get it on tape! A couple hours later Kayden and Stephanie called to see if we were hangin out and so they came over too. I love seeing the newlyweds! They are so cute and in love. Not long after they showed up, Kolby and Janine came over. They had gone out to eat on a date and then came to our house prepared with a movie (thanks janine!). We all visited for a while and then watched "Leatherheads", which I would recomend! It was a cute story and really funny. After the movie, all the campbells left and Josh and Jody stayed til about 1:30am. It was great being with family!
Saturday was our relief society super saturday. I was supposed to be there at 7am to unlock the doors and help set up (it started at 8am). As I opened my eyes, laying in my nice comfy bed, the sun was shining through the window and I wondered what time it was. As I glanced over at the alarm clock it said 7:01!!! AAHH. I jumped out of bed, brushed my teeth, texted the other leaders telling them I was on my way, pulled on some jeans and a t-shirt that were laying on the floor, pulled my hair into a pony tail, wiped the black mascara lines from under my eyes with a washcloth, grabbed my shoes, kissed a slumbering peaceful Clint, and ran out the door. I only got there 20 mins late... pretty good, I'd say! We served a little continental breakfast for the sisters that came and had some cool classes.... especially the chocolate popcorn class! Yummy!! I had to split a few minutes early from there so I could run over to Basic High to see Kyler (Clint's second to youngest brother) run in his last cross country meet of the season. I met Clint and the kids there. There were tons of high schools there. Kyler is a freshman on the JV team (could be on Varsity, but has a zone varience so has to wait til next year to run varsity). He was AWESOME!! He came in first place with nobody even close to him. I bet he was about a minute head of the rest of the runners! It was so cool to see him do so well!! And I think he had a personal record! All of the Campbells are natural runners. They are all so talented! (I wish I would've brought my camera). After that we ran home to put on nice clothes and headed over to my niece, Min's, baptism in Boulder City. It was really nice and her dad, Dave, did a great job baptising and confirming her. She looked so beautiful and had a lot of support on this very special day!! After that we changed and headed over to Cinnamon Ridge park and had a GREAT luncheon with the family. Great food and great company! After that we went home, I had a mini venting breakdown, then pulled it together to get working on Visiting Teaching that I had to get done for Sunday. I called several wonderful people from church, set up some appointments, watched a scary movie with Clint, and stayed up til 4:30am finishing VT, but hey, I got it done! :)
Sunday I got up at 7:30 and got ready for church. Clint was sicker than a dog so he didn't come with us and I left Carson home with him. So me and the other 3 munchkins went to church (right after I took some ibuprofen for a lack-of-sleep headache). Surprisingly the kids were good for me during sac mtng. I passed out some VT papers during Sunday school time and went into the clerks office to get a little training on the computer. Trying to get so much in in a little amount of time, I forgot to check the clock. My RS secretary came into the library to ask me if I was conducting RS today. I said yes, and she said (with a smile on her face) "Well, you better get in there it's 11:15" AAAhhh... I ran down the hall with her and came in apologizing and laughing at the same time. I am thankful for sweet, goodtempered sisters in my RS. :) As I started conducting I realized I forgot my stuff in the Clerks office. Ohwell! Sisters volunteered to pitch in w/piano and leading music... and I just did what I love doing.... WINGING IT! :) haha. Then during RS as Sis Johnson gave the wonderful lesson, I was sneaking around passing out VT and then the nursery leader cam in with Lily (who is potty training... yuck) and I needed to "take care" of her. After church there were several people that needed to talk to me and several people I needed to talk to , AND of course the kids were hungry and wanted to go home. BUT I got done what I needed to, took the kids home, and turned around and came back up for a meeting. What a crazy day, but I got my 2 hour nap in after I got home (thanks Clint) and felt good about it all! I love the church and the gospel, even if it does get crazy. Heavenly Father just seems to help me stay calm and happy!

great post michelle-you busy gal! YAY for carson-i cannot believe he is walking! wish we would have come and hung out...or that we were as cool as you and clint and people wanted to hang out with us :) you are so awesome and inspiring!
Sounds like a fun weekend! So exciting about Carson! Wish Kelly and I were closer so we could hang out too, the things we took for granted when we lived there!
first of all...i love it that I keep getting recognition for Kolby's good deeds...(it was his Idea on the movie, notice I did fall asleep JK) second...you are doing an amazing job as RS pres. I have a harder time getting ready for the day than you appear to be having with all your new responsibilities, let alone you have a YOUNG family that needs your help. Thank goodness for a wonderful husband right? and CONGRATULATIONS to the Gibsons, what a blessing to have a faithful daughter! And shes beautiful as well. I cant believe shes already 8! WOW!
What a crazy weekend for you! I can't believe you stayed up so late AND got up so early... both nights! You are amazing. We all knew that anyways! You're a great example and I love ya!
I want to take a nap just by reading about your weekend. I know I say this all the time but you truly do amaze me! Those woman are so lucky to have you in their ward.
I miss having a super saturday. They are so fun and they are the only time I do crafts. They don't do that in our stake. Oh well.
Min's day looked special. I can't believe she is 8!
I agree with Ashley that we took things for granted when we lived there. Or maybe it was taking things for granted before we had kids. I wouldn't trade it, but we could do so much more before kids. Now we can hardly say up past 11.
Okay Michelle.....you are way too kind on your comments. You really don't want to be like me. You know how everyone always looks better on the outside. You don't ever get to see the grumpy, tattered, pull my hair out mother. Or....the emotional.....what is wrong with me woman. (= We all just do our best, right!?!
Busy busy busy. I hope that if I'm ever as busy as you are that I can be as positive about it as you are. It would definitely be an adjustment for me, being someone who greatly enjoys hanging out at home.
I was already exhausted and reading your blog made me more tired! I'm not sure if I can even get up off my chair! But that is how my next post is gonna be so be prepared! I think I'd rather be busy than lazy. Well, some days at least.
You partiers you!!! Staying up til 1:30? How fun!! The blessings of a big family, huh? Hearing about all your brother-in-laws and sister coming over....makes me want to have a big family. I could never have 12 though.
crazy lady, I can't believe you do all of this in a two days. I couldn't get all of that done in a month without being tired! where do you get your energy girl, share your secrets with us mortals!
I can't believe Carson is allready walking! Tell me your secret... Or does it just depend on the child? Congrats Carson!
