What a group of guys!!

It was the coveting of the cell phone at first and turned into such a cute picture real with each of them in the end getting their own thing to hold. Man, I hope they are always good buddies! They are so dang cute! I should say too that these are all boys... the pink blanket that is surrounding them is Lily's. :)

4th of July! ... a little late. :)

We had such a great time on the 4th. We had a BBQ/Swim party over at our house with some of my family (thanks Jeremy for taking care of the BBQing since Clint was working). The kids had a blast together (as usual) and all of us adults had a great time visiting. At about 7:30 Jeremy/Rachel and their kids, Shannon/Jesse and their kids, and Me and the kids (Clint had to work) went up to Boulder City to watch the fireworks show at Veterans Memorial Park. It is fast becoming one of my favorite 4th of July places to go. We met up with Keith/Jeni and their kids, and Dave/Bec and there munchkins. It was an incredible fireworks show! I think the best I've ever seen! Lily wasn't sure if the big ones were going to fall on her so she was a little nervous the whole time. Carson loved them! Emma thought they were pretty great, and we lost Jaron at the beginning of the show (I wasn't worried) but afterwards he said he watched them from the fence and thought they were great! haha. Jeremy brought some fireworks and he did a little preshow w/ all the kids watching intently, on the ball field. It was really nice weather and lots of space to sit on the grass. It really was a nice evening. The sprinklers on the ball field even came on at the beginning of the show making everyone in front of us quickly move... so therefore we had front row seats... along with a nice mist to keep us cool. haha.

After the fireworks, Bec and Dave bravely and graciously took the kids over to their house for a 4th of July slumber party! The kids had a great time!!! Thanks Bec/Dave for the fun!!

Family Vacation 2008... Take Two!!

On Sunday, the 4th day of the family reunion/vacation, we all went to Aunt Karen's ward... yep, the whole slew of us! Me, Jen, Rachel, Wendy, Staci, Shannon, Jody, Kristin, Ryan, Clint, and Josh all sang in her sacrament meeting. It was kinda cool. My Uncle Kevin (my mom's brother) and his family are in that same ward in Orange. Right before we sang, he stuck his head in the back door and waved at all of us. It was so cute, I wanted to giggle, but started singing instead. After sacrament meeting we had family pictures done out front by Jennifer. I wish I had some to post, but I haven't received my copies yet... when I do look for another fabulous post! :) That evening we all went to Staci's clubhouse in Culver City (right by L.A.) and had dinner and played and visited. It was so nice to all be together! Monday almost everyone went home, but Clint and I and our kids hung out another 4 days.... Thanks to Wendy and Colby for letting us live with you longer! :)

Clint, Emma, and Jar needed a picture too... I love their faces... but I kinda stink at taking pictures and cut Jaron out. Sorry bud!

Tuesday: we headed down to Huntington Beach and took Caden and Jacob with us. They dug in the sand played in the freezing ocean, while I watched Lily and Carson and read. It was gorgeous weather and a beautiful day!

Emma, Jacob, Caden, and Jaron dug there own lazyboys! haha. There dug a hole for their bums, and built up the sand to make a pillow and then put their towels over it. Nice job guys! In this pic they kinda all look dead. haha.
Lily couldn't make it all afternoon. I think she started enjoying falling asleep at the beach.
Carson... wide awake almost the whole time! He liked the sand though and thanks to the bumbo seat... he stayed upright almost the whole time.

Jaron started digging away almost as soon as we got there. He, Jacob and Caden dug some mini lakes and connected them with a river... even dug up several sand crabs. Too bad I didn't get a final picture.

Wednesday we swam and played at Aunt Karen's and visited with Wendy and Johanna (my cousin Paul's wife) while Paul, Colby, Clint, and Jaron went cliff jumping at Corona Del Mar beach. They had a great time. Jaron never jumped and hurt his leg (not bad), but the other guys jumped and had lots of fun.... crazy boys!

Thursday: KNOTTS BERRY FARM!!! We had such a blast there! Thanks to discounts at Ralphs grocery store, our whole family got in for $110 dollars! Woohoo! Thanks to Wendy for being our chauffer and dropping us off/picking us up... so we didn't have to pay for parking. You are AWESOME! We loved it and thank goodness our two older kids like roller coasters so Clint had a great time too!!

Jaron, Lily and Emma on a ride at Camp Snoopy. Lily looks happy now, but this ride traumatized her. She was terrified and cried the whole time. After this she didn't want to go on anything else. haha. Even the ones we made her go on (yes, we're mean) with us (thinking that'd be ok since we were with her) she cried on. Poor girl. We'll have to wait a couple more years to take her to another amusement park. :)

Anyway- then we drove home through the night (trying hard not to fall asleep... Van Halen helps!) and got home to good ol 114 degree Henderson, NV at around 3:30 in the morning on the 4th of July! It was a great vacation/reunion! I'm ready to go again!! :)

Family Reunion 2008... Take one!!

We had a great time on our family vacation to Southern CA!! We left on Wed June 25th and came home on Thurs, July 3 (actually 3:30am July 4th... haha). We had a little cousins reunion (my bros and sis's and their kids, and my dad's sister, Karen's, kids and their kids... 38 people total)and then Clint and I decided to extend our vacation a few more days. We had a total blast and didn't want to leave! Enjoy the pics! Thanks to Wendy and Staci (and the rest of the Fox's) for all the preparations! It turned out great!!! (Jessica and Kevin, Brent and Amy, and Nathan and Deanna.... WE MISSED YOU GUYS!!)

THURSDAY: water park/park and swimming at aunt Karens!!

FRIDAY: L.A. Zoo and then games, dinner, and talent show at the Cypress, CA Institute building! Karen, we loved the millionaire game you made out of all of our questionaires. It was so funny to hear about everyone's favorites, their firings (yes, from jobs), and funny life experiences!

I love the look on Carson's face here. I have such a cute little boy! funny note: he would sit in the back seat of this stroller and then lean forward and pull chunks of Lily's hair out. It was kinda sad, but kinda funny at the same time. :) Aurianna, Ryan, Emma, Aniston, and Kristin... I don't think I have a single picture of Ryan being serious. Krissy, I love your hubby! haha.

I normally don't like my rear end in pics, but I love this picture... not very often when Jaron puts his arm around mom! It felt great! We walked quite a ways like this. Mom's need a good hug every once in a while!

They had to chew up a wad of bubble gum and the first one to blow a bubble got the part. :) When they auditioned for the hero, they had to chew up a graham cracker and the first one to whistle got the part! So fun!! (fyi- Paul was the villan, and Randy (staci's hubby) was the hero. The part of Sweet Sue was played by Shaunie, the birds were Emma and Lily, the hero's horse was played by Colby (Wendy's hubby), the dying grandpa was my dad, and the cow was played by Jesse! haha. IT was a hilarious play... I got it on video, but it's too long to post! bummer!

It was a really fun day and night! Eveyone did a great job!!

SATURDAY: Balboa Beach!! Stayed all day and had firepit that night to roast hot dogs and smores!! So fun... The waves were crashing hard so it was fun for boogie boarding, body surfing, and just playing in the water (the water felt great... wasn't too cold)
