Just because it made me laugh!

This is me and Jennifer's boyfriend, Mike, digging into his christmas present a little early. I had to post it, because we thought we were so funny. It makes me laugh just thinking about it... ya had to be there... haha.

Babies, Babies, Babies!!!... and Grandma!!

Welcome Layla Mei Campbell!!! Arrived Wednesday, January 14th, at around 2:30am, and weighing in at 7 lbs 1 oz. The cutest thing ever (I think she looks like her mama)

Sunday we took a break from reality and the family drove up to Utah to visit Kelly (Clint's bro) and Ashley and their beautiful new baby, Layla Mei! It was such a wonderful trip. When we pulled up to K and A's house there were so many cars there. Ashley's mom and dad, and her sisters, Corey and Marcie, and their hubbys and kids, and Janine and Kolby, and Dad Campbell and Kyler were all there welcoming the new little angel. It was nice to see everyone and to see that Kelly and Ash have so many people that love them and care about them. Kelly was holding Layla when we came in and I just about cried she was so tiny and so adorable... and had the cutest outfit on (I didn't get a picture of it... I was too busy asking to hold her. haha). Kelly said that Ashley did a fantastic job and I was secretly wishing I was a fly on the wall to witness the little miracle. :) K and A looked so happy and Ashley looked wonderful... glowing like a new mom should. It was so fun to have a little while to visit with them and everyone else, and hold our sweeeeeet newest niece!! It'll be fun to see her again in a few months and see how she's changed.

This was our girl session on Ashley's bed. It was so fun to get all the details of the birth and baby, while the silly boys were watching football. :) (I loved that Corey's little girl, Heidi, climbed onto my lap and I got to hold her. She's so cuddly and cute!)

After leaving K and A's house we got some lunch and then headed over to Clint's Grandma Brown's house. She is the sweetest, most wonderful lady, and I love visiting her. Just being in her house, and sitting on her couch makes me feel so loved. We stayed for a couple hours and while we were there Dad, Ky, Kolb, and Janine all stopped by for a visit too. (Cool side note: Gma Brown's first name is Jeannine! Cool, huh?). Well, it was a good time and I didn't want to leave, but the time came to drive back to Nevada, so we did... it was a nice quick trip.... one we should take more often!! :)

Then... as if I needed more babies to make me more baby hungry.... Just yesterday morning, one of my best buds, Amanda Cook, delivered her beautiful baby girl, Kayla Jo. It's her first girl after having 3 rambunctious, funloving, adorable boys. She was born at 2:45am, weighing in at 8lbs 9ozs, 19 1/2 inches long. She has lots of dark hair, and is such a chub... So adorable! I was so lucky to be the first visitor she got and nobody, not even Amanda's hubby Brad, was there when I got there.... so guess who got to hold that baby!??? Yep, ME!! Woohoo!... til the nurse came and took her away for a bath and check up. But I had a great visit with Amanda and got to hear how everything went, and then got to kiss and hold little Kayla again when she came back from the nursery! I'm so excited for her to have a girl and excited to see how the boys react to her. haha. I can only imagine!
Then... after leaving the hospital I got to go to another friend's house to visit her and her new baby! Wow! It was her first, a little boy, weighing in at 10 lbs!! Now that's a first baby! He was gorgeous... with strawberry blond hair and blue blue eyes. She looked great too (Csection) and was moving around like a champ! I was impressed! Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics of the little guy... but I did get to steal him for a little while from the grandmas to hold and snuggle with...what a doll!

Hinman Family Movie Night!

This past Friday night was our Elementary School's Family Movie Night. It ended up being really fun. Families brought blankets to sit on and we as a PTO sold popcorn, candy, and bottled water to raise money. We showed the movie "Kit Kittredge". It's actually a really cute movie. My kids, especially Jaron, loved it! As the PTO historian I get to take pictures of the events... so here's some pics of friends and family... sorry for the blurriness of some of them (I never said I was a good historian. haha).

The wonderful Estes Family! I love these guys!!! Jen takes care of all our flyers and getting the word out for school activities. She's incredible! Dennis swung all the kids around by their feet to keep them all entertained while we cleaned up. What a guy (he was wiped out by the end of the night. haha)

This is our totally awesome, wonderful, incredible principle!!!!! Dr. Angulo. I don't think she looks too comfortable... She's a great lady and a great principle. (and I think she might kill me if she sees this blog. haha)

Aren't these two of the cutest gals around! Jen and Tiffany are on the PTO board and really fun! It was so fun talking to them all night.

This is Scott and Heather Estes. She's the PTO president (does a great job!) and he's our financial guru.... and our muscles for moving heavy things. haha. Thank you Scott!!! These guys are great!!! Heather's laugh is contagious!

Mommy/Daughter Date

On New Years Day, Emma and I went on a mommy/daughter date. It was really fun. I had gone on one with Jaron, and Emma was way overdue for one. First, we went to the movies and saw "Bedtime Stories" (totally fantastic movie! I'd recommend it for anyone of any age). Then we wanted ice cream so we began our search for an ice cream shop. We went to scoops (closed down a while ago... who knew), then to coldstone (closed down too... bummer), then to the ice cream place on Stephanie and Horizon Ridge (can't remember what it's called... but closed down too... what's this world coming too when you can't find an ice cream shop open for business in January!). We called my sister in law, Bec, the conosour (sp) of ice cream and she told us about golden spoon so we went there! It was a great suggestion cause it hadn't gone out of business like everywhere else, but unfortunately, it was closed for the holiday. SOOOO, Emma and I gave up and went to McDonalds for flurrys! haha. It was a great evening! Thanks for the fun Emma.

They are finally hitched!!!

Kolby and Janine Campbell

Well, Saturday was the big day! At 1:00pm Kolby (Clint's brother) and Janine tied the knot! They were married in Scott and Linda Weaver's beautiful backyard. It was a nice day... a little chilly in the shade, but still nice for January. Bishop Eric Price married them and he did such a nice job. It was a great ceremony with a little laughter (which is always nice). Janine's 2 sisters, Kaylene and Sarene, gave her away, which was really cute. Kaylene's 2 little boys were the ring bearers and were absolutely hilarious holding onto that ring pillow like their lives depended on it. Janine's daughter, Bela, was the flower girl and was so cute walking behind the boys, tossing rose petals wherever she wanted. Kolby's groomsmen were a few of his brothers: Kelly, Kayden, and Kourtney. Janine's bridesmaids were her friends: Rachel, Kerri, and Jody (my sister). Everyone looked so nice and it was a great afternoon.

The reception immediately followed the wedding and was casual and lots of fun. Kolby even sang to Janine (all those campbell's can sing!) and it was so sweet. I love that Janine got an Eagles (Kolby's favorite football team) garter for the toss. Too cute! David (used to be the head guy at the temple cafeteria) catered it with some yummy, yummy treats (chocolate fountain... always a good choice for any event!). And they had the hottest DJ in town!!!!! (ok, it was Clint, but I defenitely think he's the hottest guy around!) I did a lot of videotaping so my pictures are not that great. The worst part was that I only got a couple shots of the 2 together and they were just candid ones. haha. ohwell... my sister Jennifer took their wedding pics so she's got more. :) Actually, if anyone wants to see some beautiful bridal shots of Janine, go to koubakreations.blogspot.com or click on Jennifer Kouba off of my blog.

They ended up having to leave their own reception early to catch their flight for their honeymoon. (Nice job on the scheduling of that, Kolb! haha). They went to Jamaica! I know... NO FAIR!! haha.
