Bonnie Springs/Family Day!

On Monday the kids were out of school and Clint was off work so we decided to have an all day family day. We took the kids out to Bonnie Springs/Old Nevada for the day. It was really fun. We went to the petting zoo (where Emma knocked her head on a piece of overhanging wood... she wanted to make sure I put that in here. haha), had lunch at the restaurant out there, watched a funny melodrama and then saw a hanging. haha. We let the kids pick out some silly stuff from the shops and just really enjoyed the time together and the nice weather. After leaving there we did a little more window shopping and then went to Cafe Rio for dinner and, of course, had to hit Nielsen's Frozen Custard last. YUMMY!! It was such an enjoyable day and it was so nice to all be together doing something fun. :)

Emma was so afraid of this deer. She'd hold her hand out and as soon as it would get close she'd scream and turn around. haha. Finally, after about 4 tries, she let it eat from her hand.

Carson loved the animals but wouldn't let them eat from his hand. He'd just throw the food at the animals. haha. so funny to watch.

Our silly family. Yes we're all wearing short sleeved shirts and some have shorts on and yes, it's November! What the ??? Gotta LOVE the desert... it was 85 degrees the day we went. :)


I forgot to mention that when we came home we all watched Gremlins together. Our kids had never seen it and we hadn't seen it for a long time. Needless to say, all the kids slept in our room that night. haha. What a fun day!
