Baptisms, Blessings, and Birthdays, oh my!

This past weekend was soooo busy, but soooo wonderful! Friday night our ward had a ward campout up at Mt. Charleston. We couldn't camp (much to the dismay of my husband and family... we love to camp) but we went up for Friday night's festivities. Lot's of visiting around the campfire, eating, and of course... singing! And what kind of ward campout would it be without a "pig hollerin" contest (which some of us couldn't resist putting Clint into our "hollers"). Cara Nelson and her comittee did a great job, and it was tons of fun... not to mention it was much much cooler up there! (ignore the date on the pics... it's wrong. I took several pics before I noticed and changed it. oops)

Then Saturday morning we were fortunate enough to witness Jeremy baptize and confirm his oldest daughter, Shaunie. She looked so beautiful and was so happy. Then right after Shaunie's confirmation, they blessed little baby Millie (only 4 days old). It was such a cool experience! Rachel's parents and sister, Heidi, and her family made it down for the weekend. I love Rachel's family and it was so fun to have them here. After that we all went back to Jeremy and Rachel's house for a yummy luncheon and visiting with family and friends. Rachel was AMAZING that whole day especially considering she had had a csection just 4 days before. Now she totally deserves several weeks of complete rest.... as complete as you can get with 5 kids. :)
Shaunie standing next to a very appropriate picture for the occasion.
A proud papa!
3 generations! What proud grandparents!
The girls! Auri, Elise, Shaunie, Emma, and Min
Jeremy and Rachel's family! What a great picture!

Rachel looks like she's holding a doll! So so sweet!
The two ladies of the hour... Sisters get to share their special day. (Millie is a little camera shy)
Mangum Family: Backrow- Shannon, Jesse holding Ammon, Jennifer, Kristin, Jeremy holding Troy, Dad, Rachel holding Millie, Mom, Me holding Carson, Clint, Jody holding Maddie, and Josh. Frontrow- Lily, Ani, Auri, Emma, Shaunie, Sam, Leah, and Jaron

Fun Fact- Rachel actually has 5 sisters and one brother... just like me!! :)... and her brother's name is Jeremy! How freaky is that?? :)
Petty Family: Jesse and Shannon with kids Ammon, Auri, and Aniston
Beautiful Campbell Family... it took a few shots to get this one. :)

Clint messin around cause Jesse has the camera!...
This freaked me out! Eww!! My grandma used to have these shells all over her olive trees. Yuck! (It's a zacada shell/skin... and yes, I know I spelled that wrong)

Guber! I love that he makes me laugh.
Another reason I married him.... haha.
And yet another!

After the luncheon and visiting we grabbed some grub and then headed over to our stake baptisms where we got to see our friends little boys get baptized. Our very good friends the Ricketts and the Weiners' sons were baptized.... Spencer Rickett was baptized by his daddy, Ken, and Nathan Weiner was baptized by his daddy, Mike. It was wonderful. Our kids were so annoyed with being in church clothes all day on a Saturday but they survived! haha. There are no pics of this second baptism because I, being the genius I am, left my camera at my brother's house in LV. Dangit!!
After Spinny and Nate's baptisms we went to my parents for treats and games. Kristin (my sis) had come down for the weekend so it was time to hang with her and it was a good time!! We played Guesstures (like charades) and if i had a video camera I'd be a rich woman! To see my mom act out the word "nerd" was priceless!! Thanks for the laugh mom!
Sunday my whole fam was sick so I got to go to church by myself and it was really nice! (i'm selfish, i know) Started with meetings at 9am and with visits after church and an interview with the bishop, I didn't get home until 5pm... remember it was fast sunday! And when I got home my perfect husband had cleaned the house for me... even the kitchen... and had food all ready for me!!! My hubby is THE MAN!!!
After inhaling food, we grabbed cookie dough and headed to Campbell's for Ashley's bday get together, games, and more treats! See... it's no wonder I don't lose weight with all these opportunities to eat delicious treats! I love it!
After Campbells it was back to my parents to visit one last time with Krissy before she had to leave on Monday morning back to Utah... and poor Carson started in not feeling good....

Sounds pretty busy as usual. Happy anniversary (late). Lots of great times!
I keep forgetting that Jeremy and Rachel have Troy, let alone the new baby. It is getting hard to keep track of. ha!

Hey Michelle, sounds like you had a lot of fun with all your family! I was reading and I noticed the Haws family pic. My maiden name is Haws. where are they from? they didn't look like people I know but they could be related! Such a small world :) I wonder if I could track down how they are related!
