Grandma Brown's Christmas Party!!

On Sunday, December 20th, all us Campbell's met at Uncle Steve's house for Grandma Brown's (Clint's dad's mom) christmas party. I love it because it's usually the only time in the year that we see all the cousins and aunts and uncles on Clint's dad's side of the family. They are all really wonderful and I wish we did more with them. It's great to see everybody, have good eats (Grandma's green chili burritos... YUMMMMMM), have a talent show, and laugh a lot. It's a good time and I hate it when everyone finally has to start heading home.

CJ gets ordained!

My little nephew, CJ (Dave and Bec's oldest), turned 12 and was ordained a deacon in the priesthood by his daddy. It was a special event and we were privileged to be there to witness it. CJ is sure growing up to be a handsome, intelligent, and funny young man. I sure love that kid and am so proud of him!! (It's crazy because seeing CJ ordained made me realize that Jaron is next... this summer my son will be a deacon!! Where did the time go!?)

Kasey comes home!!

Clint's younger brother number 6, Kasey, just got home from his mission in December. He served in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. It was great to see him again! He was a normal return missionary (a little awkward around girls and "normal" life... haha), but it didn't take long for him to get a guitar in his hands. He hasn't lost any of his amazing guitar playing talent. He really is an incredible musician.

We all met at Mom and Dad Campbell's to welcome him home and visit for a while. Then a week after that we had a Campbell Christmas FHE where we got to hear some of Kasey's mission stories. I'm so thankful for him and his ability and willingness to serve a mission. It's amazing the things that are learned on a mission and the miracles that are seen to strengthen one's testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's true. Plain and Simple! I'm so thankful Clint served a mission and the strengths and humility he gained from it that he brought into our marriage and into our family!

My sweet baby girl got baptized

Emma's baptism day was so special. She looked so beautiful in white standing by her daddy. She was nervous about going into the water and doing everything right, but she did perfect! Uncle Keith and Grandpa Mangum were the witnesses for her baptism and they were all smiles too, which helped relax her. She had lots of family and friends that came to support her, and several of her uncles stood in the circle while Clint confirmed her. The stake did a great job on the program too and a highlight was when Clint and Jaron got up and sang the song "baptism" as part of the program. Emma lit up when they sang. She was so proud. It was cute. After the baptism lots of the fam got together at our house for a light dinner, and visiting, and of course, playing! :) Great day!!

Emma Turns 8 and Carson turns 2

For Emma's 8th birthday, she decided she wanted to have a "girl" party. So Clint and I took Emma and a bunch of her cousins bowling at Sunset Station!! Yep, we are brave! :) It actually ended up being really fun. All the girls were pretty good and had a good time together. After bowling we took all the girls to McDonalds for ice cream cones. yummy!

Fun at McDonalds... Clint started a whole "shape your ice cream into shapes with your tongue" contest. It was pretty funny! They all got silly and creative. Check out Ashley and Heidi's faces. haha.

Me and Clint had to do a little participating too. By the very last round the girls started getting tired so Clint bowled for a lot of them on their last turn. It was funny.

For Family Home Evening we had a little family birthday for Emma and Carson. Emma turned 8 on the 30th and Carson turned 2 on Dec 2nd. We had a little cake and opened some presents and played several rounds of UNO (a family favorite). My parents stopped by to drop off a gift and they were suckered into staying and playing a few rounds. It really was a blast!
I'm as excited about the doll head as Emma is. haha.
