On Saturday, the 15th, Ashley's sisters and mom threw her a baby shower. They did a great job and it was sooo fun! The cake/cupcakes were sooo adorable. The food was delicious too! The games were fun and she got some really cute stuff. Lots of people came and it was nice to spend time with Ashley (she lives in Southern Utah). Thanks Corey and Marcie and Mama White for all your hard work. You guys did great! Ashley is my sister in law (married to Clint's brother, Kelly) and this is her first baby. We are all excited for her and can't wait for little Layla Mei to get here!

Opening gifts was a blast. Girls are so fun to shop for. The little girl in the pic is Saydie (Corey's daughter) and she loved the gift part too. It looks like she's dancing in this picture. haha. Sitting next to Ash is Clint's cousin, Brittany. It was so fun to see her and Emily and Sydney. They came down from Utah for the party. What awesome cousins we have!! It was a cool surprise. Brittany is having her first baby soon too... YIPEE! So much fun stuff happening soon.

I love seeing my hubby

A few weeks ago Clint, me, Shannon and Jesse went to the Red Mountain Choir performance out at Cashman. It was so great! Clint's brother, Keith, was in it this year which made it even more fun to go see. This is the last year they'll be doing the choir and the final performance was great!! I love seeing shows and I love spending time with Clint! (I had to throw a picture in of a couple of our awesome babysitters! Shaylee and Raven are totally awesome!!)

A couple of weeks ago Clint surprised me and came home for lunch. I love it when he does that! Lily loved it too, cause she sat in dad's patrol car and then he gave her a ride in the back around the block! So fun for her. If Clint would've let her, she would have stayed there the rest of the day... hmmm, I wonder what the rest of the squad would've thought of his new partner. haha.

Uh-oh..... Another SUPERPOST! haha

I think if i'd post more often it wouldn't turn to these crazy superposts. haha. oh well! First thing... I'm so grateful for blogs now! Last Saturday my computer crashed and i lost EVERYTHING!! All of my pics from when Lily was born to now. I was soooooo sad about it! I did develop several, but I haven't developed any from this year. Luckily, I started this blog in July and so have pics saved on here. I actually have several hundred pics on an sdcard, but i can't find the card... how sucky is that!?? No worries fellowbloggers.... I do have several to post from a new sd card. haha....
First of all, my husbands brother, Kolby, got engaged a couple weeks ago!! yipee!! He got engaged to Janine Worthen (who I've know since she was a baby!). We are all so excited and Kolby and Janine are sooooo happy! It's so cute to watch. They dated in high school and have known eachother for a long time. Janine's been married and has 2 adorable kiddies, Bela and Talin, and Kolby just adores them. It' wonderful! We can't wait to have 3 more great people join our awesome family! Congrats guys! (their pics were ones that got deleted, but I'll steal some off of my sister's blog to post. haha... thanks jen!) Kolby sent her on a little scavenger hunt of special places from their "early years" where she found clues and roses. Her final place was where they had their first kiss and that's where he proposed to her. It was so cute. So many family/friends were there to witness such a sweet event. The cutest thing was when Janine showed Bela the ring, Bela said, "can i have one". so cute!!

For the Monday of the Veterans Day Holiday we had a BBQ at our house. It was great visiting with everyone and eating some YUMMY food. the kids had a great time together too. Some of my family and some of Clint's family came. I'm so glad we all get along. :) here's some silly pics from the day...

The day after the BBQ at our house, me and the kids went with Dave and Bec and some of their family (and Shannon and Jesse and their kids) to a place called Redstone. I've never been there, but it's really cool. It's out by Lake Mead and it's like a mini Valley of Fire that's closer! yipee. It was really fun to hike all over the rocks and then have our own little tailgate luncheon. haha. Thanks Dave and Bec for sharing that place with us. We love your family too. Lots of fun to be with them!!

WOW! Like i would do that!?? haha. boys and their pets??

I hate pumpkin carving...

...But I love it when Clint does it! For family home evening before halloween, we went over to my mom and dad's house. Clint helped my dad for some of the day on their patio. Then that evening we (Clint) carved pumpkins. I always love how they turn out, but I hate carving them... it's tedius and messy, but it does smell good. Emma loved helping out her dad (probably even more than he wanted her too). While Clint finished up pumpkins out back, I made ghost cookies with nutter butters and melted while chocolate. My mom gave me the idea and they were soooo yummy! I wish I would've gotten (is that a word?) more pictures, but oh well. On the Tuesday before we had our trunk or treat (which I always love) with our new ward. It was fun to see friends all dressed up, and some people really went all out with their vehicles (so cool). Our kids loved it. Thursday I got to go spend the entire afternoon at the kids' school taking pictures for the PTO, attending parties, classroom hopping, listening to scary stories the 5th graders wrote, digging into a pumpkin with the 1st graders, and singing "Home Means Nevada" to Emma's class... Now get this (Dave, you'll be floored)... Nobody in Emma's class had ever heard it and even her teacher had never heard it!!! I almost passed out from shock! haha. She told me that I'd have to come back next year and teach her class the song right before Nevada Day (it's on Halloween, for all you non-nevadans.). It was funny. Then Thursday night was our school's Chili Cook Off/Bake Sale/Costume contest (I just stayed at the school through the evening haha). It was really fun... good food, cute kids, yummmmmmy bake sale goodies (thank you Jen Estes!!), and Jaron LOVED the "Mad Science" booth they had set up where they made slime.. yuck. :)

Halloween night was a blast! We went over to Campbell's for chili and rolls and visiting, and then we took our kids trick or treating in their neighborhood with Gregg, Shelly, Mack, Shannon, Jesse, Auri, and Aniston. I love trick or treating there. It's so fun and there are so many kids. They had several "haunted houses" set up (Clint's brother, Kyler, even did one with a friend at his house), and I went through one with Lily (it totally freaked her out), and Clint went through one with the kids. After the 2 we went through, Jaron and Kamron (Clint's youngest brother who is 3 years older than Jaron) took off on their own to trick or treat and check out the other haunted houses. We went to one house where a guy was dressed in jeans, a flannel shirt, and a scary mask, and he was laying in a ditch in his front yard... it looked like a dummy. To make a long story short, Auri (Shannon's 5 year old) walked up to it thinking it was fake and pointe at him, "Look, mom", then he moved and pointed at her.... That's all it took! She FREAKED! She was shaking and crying (we were all laughing) and the guy took off his mask and came over to show her he was just a "dad" himself, and then picked her up and took her back to the candy to let her pick out somemore. It was so funny! Needless to say, her pretty princess make up was history. It also didn't help that as we were walking back up to Campbells, Clint's brother, Kayden, came running out in a freaky mask! Auri and Ani went running down the street to their parents, crying. I love Halloween! Then we went over to my parent's house and visited with all of my family, and checked out everyone's adorable costumes, and the kids divided and seperated their candy (I remember that being sooo fun when I was a kid). It really was a fun Halloween. :)

Jaron and some friends stood off the stage and told her when to move forward and back to show off her costume. I don't know why, but I thought it was so cute and funny.
